San Jose, CA — A judge in San Jose has refused to reduce the bail for a woman accused of planting a finger in a bowl of Wendy´s chili.
Anna Ayala has been in custody since April 21st after being arrested at her Las Vegas home on suspicion of attempted grand theft.
She was trying to get her bail reduced from a half million dollars. The judge said no.
Ayala is due back in court on June 8th . She has yet to enter a plea.
Meanwhile, the San Francisco Chronicle is reporting yet another strange twist in the case.
The mother of the man whose severed fingertip ended up in the Wendy´s chili, told the Chronicle that he gave his mangled finger to a co-worker to settle a $50 debt.
