Officials Remain Cautious About High Water Levels

Sponsored by:

Undated — Officials continue to monitor water levels in area lakes and streams, although they say the danger of serious flooding has passed.

The National Weather Service had predicted heavy rains yesterday and early today but the storm wasn´t as intense as originally anticipated.

Forecasters say water levels were near flood stage last night, but increased output at several of the area´s reservoirs is keeping waters at a manageable level.

With the heavy rains past, officials are now turning their attention to the above average snowpack in the high country.

Forecasters say a high pressure system is expected to move into Northern California tomorrow which could raise temperatures as high as the 80s.
