California Strawberry Growers Enjoying A Good Year

Undated — Despite damage from severe rains in the Northern region of the state, California strawberry growers are enjoying a bumper crop this year.
The California strawberry commission says farmers have produced nearly 600 million pounds of strawberries so far this season.
That´s a 12% increase over this time last year. Growers in Southern California who haven´t had to deal with excessive rain have been taking up the slack, picking all the berries they can to meet demand.
