Widow Of Ken Darby Files Suit

Sonora, CA — The widow of a popular Sonora musician has filed a civil suit against a man who is slated to stand trial on charges of vehicular manslaughter in his death.
Christine Elder is the widow of Ken Darby who was killed in a highway accident last summer. Police say Darby´s motorcycle collided with a Dodge pickup driven by Steven Snowden on French Gulch Road north of Murphys Grade Road on June 22nd.
The suit seeks compensation for the absence of monetary support, services, and comfort. The Calaveras County District Attorney´s Office filed criminal charges against Snowden in April.
The criminal trial is scheduled for October 13th.
