Angels Camp Commissioners Hold Off On Annex Decision
Angels Camp, CA — The Angels Camp Planning Commission is showing some hesitation when it comes to granting a request by developers to annex a 20-acre parcel of land east of town for a 50 unit housing complex.
The land is currently controlled by Calaveras County. At issue is whether the city´s infrastructure can handle the extra load.
The builders had sought to annex the property because city ordinances allow higher density housing and it would allow the project to plug into the city´s power and water systems.
City commissioners refrained from making a decision on the issue until they see the city´s general plan, which is a blueprint for development over the next 20 years.
