Forecasters Remind Residents Of Big Weather Change

Sponsored by:

Sacramento, CA — Weather forecasters are warning area residents that rain and higher altitude snow will be returning to the Motherlode as soon as tomorrow.

The National Weather Service says an unseasonably strong low pressure system is making its way from the Gulf of Alaska which is expected to arrive in the northern part of the state in the early morning hours of tomorrow.

Officials say the wet weather is likely to stay through the weekend. Snow levels could also fall to 6500 feet in the Northern Sierra late tomorrow and early Friday.

Those planning weekend activities are urged to be prepared for adverse weather conditions and to keep a close watch on regional weather forecasts.
