Update On AmeriGas Propane Outage In Tuolumne County

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA – AmeriGas crews are continuing efforts to restore propane service to customers in the Quail Hollow Apartments and surrounding areas that lost service yesterday.

As we reported here on Thursday (12/11/25), the widespread outage affected more than 400 customers just east of Greenley Road, just outside the Sonora city limits. At the time, a company spokesperson told Central Sierra Broadcasting that one of their gas lines was damaged when a TUD crew was working at the apartment complex on Wednesday.

Today, a company spokesperson who met with the team working on the outage provided an update:

“We have safely completed the turn-on for all medical, critical, and commercial buildings. The team has also started on the residential locations,” shared AmeriGas spokesperson Brilynn Johnson.

AmeriGas has also brought in roughly 30 service technicians from across the utility company, who will be on site throughout the weekend to have everyone back in service by Sunday.

“The community has been incredibly supportive of the efforts,” Johnson added.

The company reminds Quail Hollow residents that someone 18 years or older must be home for a safety inspection and turn-on to be completed.
