Sonora, CA — The United Way campaigns in Tuolumne and Calaveras counties are merging with the Stanislaus campaign later this summer.
According to United Way spokes people the move is designed to help the volunteer groups in the Mother Lode comply with government standards.
They also said that the money raised here, would stay here, as well as for the Stanislaus fund raising.
The president of United Way in Sonora, Bob Edwards said it will be a benefit to the area.
He hopes that fund raising activities will increase with the help of the Stanislaus County´s full-time crew.
