Former San Joaquin County Sheriff Begins Jail Term

Stockton, CA — The man who once oversaw the jails in San Joaquin County is now doing time in a jail himself.
Former San Joaquin County Sheriff Baxter Dunn spent his first night in a minimum-security facility near Bakersfield last night.
Dunn will serve six-months behind bars after pleading guilty earlier this year for his role in a mail fraud related to a public corruption scheme.
After the former sheriff serves his time at the Taft Correctional Institution near Bakersfield, he´ll spend six months in confinement at his home in Manteca.
