Fire Season Quiet In Mother Lode As Blazes Burn Elsewhere

Undated — While the MotherLode has seen a mild fire season so far, Southern California is being hit hard.
A wildfire in San Bernardino County has charred 6200 acres and consumed six homes. Officials say that fire is 60% contained.
Meanwhile a 2000 acre blaze continues to burn in Riverside County. Authorities say that fire is about 20% contained and is not threatening any homes or structures. No injuries have been reported in either fire.
Officials say the 750-acre Badger fire near Carson City is about 90% contained with full containment expected by 6:00 tonight.
