Icy Conditions Cause Twain Harte Area Accidents

Twain Harte, CA — Icy conditions caused a number of spinouts Friday morning in the Twain Harte Area.

A Hwy 108 westbound pickup truck spun off the roadway hitting trees west of the second Twain Harte exit. The driver was not injured.

An eastbound vehicle on Twain Harte Drive hit ice and spun into the right embankment causing major damage to the front of the vehicle. The driver of this vehicle was not injured.

C.H.P. Officer Brian Bowman cautions motorists to drive at or below the speed limit with the icy conditions. He adds that shady areas are the most dangerous.

In addition, he expects Hwy 108 to be extremely busy today due to the opening of Dodge Ridge and the start of the Christmas weekend.

C.H.P.´s Maximum Enforcement Period starts at six o´clock this evening.
