One Man Arrested … One Stolen Vehicle Missing

Sonora, CA — If you´re looking for 32 year old Arjen Sipma of Escalon you can find him in the Tuolumne County Jail.

Early this morning, Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Deputy Frank Derocher questioned Sipma near Diamond Jim´s in MiWuk. He released Sipma but maintained a careful watch on the individual.

Sipma got into a 1991 White Jeep with a black vinyl top, chrome rims and wide tires (California license 2UVR490) and headed from MiWuk toward Twain Harte. Derocher attempted to stop the vehicle on Middle Camp Rd. A mile down the road, Sipma jumped from the vehicle and was subsequently arrested by Derocher. He was booked for possession of a dangerous weapon and violation of parole. He is currently on parole for burglary.

The vehicle, stolen in Turlock, and its two occupants remain at large. Should you locate the vehicle, contact the Sheriff´s Department immediately at 533-5815.
