Veteran Appointed To CDF’s Command

Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA — The California Department of Forestry announces Dave Rowe has joined ranks as the Tuolumne-Calaveras unit Battalion Chief.

Rowe fills the position left vacant by Chris Jensen back in October.

He is responsible for running the Emergency Command Center in San Andreas and overseeing all dispatch operations for CDF and local fire departments.

Rowe began his career with CDF in 1977 at the old Murphys CDF station. Throughout his career, Rowe has had three different assignments at the Emergency Command Center.

He says his biggest challenges are maintenance and upgrade of the Computer Aided Dispatch system.

Rowe and his wife Wrenae have lived in Calaveras County for 22 years.
