Sonora Resident Arrested For Passing Bogus Checks
Sonora, CA – 42 year old Laura Dickey of Sonora has been arrested by Sonora Police for writing two bogus checks.
Early Monday evening Sierra Veterinary Care contacted police to report that a female subject had written two checks on a closed account and had returned attempting to write a third check on that same account. When asked about the account, Dickey ripped up the remaining checks and threw them in a trash can. Dickey was subsequently arrested for passing the bogus checks.
During a search of her person, a smoking pipe and a white powder substance believed to be methamphetamine were discovered.
