Thieves Identified By Sheriff’s Department

Sonora, CA — While the names have yet to be released by authorities, two individuals have been identified as being involved in trying to cash in on a stolen credit card.

On December 5, a MiWuk visitor had his wallet, checks and keys stolen from his vehicle. Three days later the pair used that credit card to make several transactions in the Twain Harte and Sugar Pine areas. With the help of video surveillance footage, Sheriff´s Deputy Spencer Garrett recognized the two individuals as persons who have previously been involved in criminal activity in Tuolumne County.

One of the individuals in a white 20 year old male standing six feet six inches tall and weighing 210 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair and is a Twain Harte resident.

The other individual is a white 26 year old female. She is five feet two inches tall weighing 125 pounds and resides in MiWuk. Those individuals have yet to be apprehended.
