Early Plans For 50th Annual Motherlode Round-Up

Sonora, Ca — This year will mark the 50th anniversary of the Motherlode Round-Up.
Ty Wivell says organizers have met a number of times, to begin planning events around the special anniversary. He says that one idea that has come up is to invite all of the past queens and mothers of the year to the festival. They would be featured in the parade and grand entry.
The group has also been working to sign up some special entertainment acts. One of which is the Riata Ranch Cowboys-Cowgirls. The group is known for their trick roping and riding.
The 50th Motherlode Round up is scheduled for May 12th and 13th.
