City Designates “Values”

Sonora, Ca — The City of Sonora has designated specific guidelines it will look at when making any type of decision in city government.

The idea was brought up during a Council retreat this past November. The 13 items that are valued are listed below.

1. Our hometown atmosphere and the unique character of our community.

2. Our commitment to historic preservation

3. Our business friendly environment

4. Our safe and secure environment in which to live and work

5. Our authenticity as a city

6. Our environment, natural beauty and ambiance as a city

7. Our cultural resources and attractions

8. Our leadership, locally and regionally

9. Our teamwork for the greater good of the city

10. Our regional shopping areas and commercial centers

11. Our family oriented community

12. Our Hospitable citizenry

13. Our progressiveness and vision in planning for the future.
