Sonora, Ca — The California Highway Patrol made a strong push to make sure impaired drivers were off the roadways this past weekend.
Officer Mike Maddox says five D.U.I. arrests were made in Calaveras County between Wednesday night at 6pm and Sunday night at 6pm. He says last year they only made one D.U.I. arrest during the Thanksgiving weekend.
As for Tuolumne County, the Sonora area C.H.P. office reports that four driving-under-the-influence arrests were made during the same period.
