Sonora, CA– Beginning Monday, November 20th, Sanguinetti Road will undergo some changes.
Sonora City Engineer Gerard Fuccillo says there will be restriping operations on Sanguinetti Road which will change the laning for westbound Sanguinetti Road traffic between Loop-Sanguinetti Road and the traffic signal at the Crossroads Shopping Center entrance.
He says the effect of this change will be the elimination of the present median lane, and the conversion of it to a westbound lane as a conventional four lane City street. Officials say the median lane will be closed during the restriping operation with limited traffic control.
After the restriping is completed, they caution driving carefully when traveling westbound on Sanguinetti Road. Alternate driving routes include using the left lane after crossing the Sierra Railroad track if coming from the Loop-Sanguinetti Road and destined for the Pac-N-Save entrance of the shopping center.
Also, if headed for the main entrance to the shopping center at the signal or beyond, use the right lane after crossing the tracks until beyond the Pac- N-Save entrance.
