Tuolumne County Sheriff-Coroner Race Still Too Close To Call
Sponsored by:
Sonora, Ca — Tuolumne County Clerk and Auditor Debbie Russell says Jim Mele currently has a 163 vote advantage over Tom Memmer in the County Sheriff-Coroner race.
Russell says the 2500 absentee ballots that were dropped off on Election Day have been counted. They are not, however, able to declare a winner. Russell says they still have 333 provisional ballots that have to be validated and counted. She notes that provisional ballots take quite a bit more handling time.
Russell says it could be Monday or Tuesday before they know who will be the next Sheriff-Coroner.
