Murphys, CA — It´s going to be two to three weeks before investigators know the cause of death for a Murphys woman who went missing last week.
33-year-old Jennfier Mellera left her Murphys home on foot at 3 a.m., last Friday. Search and rescue teams looked for her for 35 hours.
At 2:15 p.m. on Saturday a water rescue team found Mellera´s body in a steep and heavily vegetated area of Murphys Creek less than one mile from her home.
County Coroner Kevin Raggio says an autopsy has been completed but there is no cause of death at this point.
Further investigation and a toxicology examination are underway. Raggio says those results should be available in two to three weeks.
