Calaveras County Phone Scam

San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department is issuing a warning concerning a possible phone scam.
The department has received reports from area residents who have been solicited for donations to the U.S. Deputy Sheriff´s Association and the California State Sheriff´s Association.
According to the Sheriff´s Department, neither organization will ever ask for a donation over the phone.
