Sonora, CA — C.D.F. officials are appealing to the public to follow the rules on their burn permits.
This weekend citations for burning out of hours and burning piles that exceed size limits reached double figures.
Tuolumne County Fire Marshall Kary Hubbard says piles can not exceed four feet in diameter. In addition, there must be 10 feet of clearance around the burning pile. Available water must be in the immediate vicinity.
Burn hours are set from 7pm to 8am.
This Monday has already been declared a NO BURN night by the Tuolumne County Air District.
