Four Arrests Made Following Shooting Incident
Sonora, CA — 23 year old Michael Wallace of Jamestown is currently taking his meals at the Tuolumne County Jail.
Wallace was arrested Tuesday evening at approximately 10:30 and charged with shooting at a moving vehicle. He also has bench warrants for his arrest for drug and traffic violations in Lancaster, California.
According to Sheriff´s deputies reports, Wallace became involved with three 17 year olds; two from Jamestown and one from Sonora, at a party on Golden Dove in the Valponi Acres area of Jamestown.
It was determined that Wallace had fired a shotgun at a vehicle driven by one of the teenagers who then returned fire with a 9mm Smith and Wesson semi-automatic handgun. Later deputies found that 9mm Smith and Wesson, a pair of brass knuckles (possession is a felony) and a small amount of marijuana in the teen´s black Chevrolet Camaro.
While Wallace remains in custody, the juveniles have been turned over to the county´s Probation Department.
