Unmet Transit Needs Hearing Wednesday

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA– Mother Lode residents will have the opportunity to give their input about unmet transit needs that may exist in Tuolumne County.

The Tuolumne County Transportation Council will be conducting the annual Unmet Transit Needs public hearing Wednesday at 5pm. The hearing will be held in the Board of Supervisors Chambers located in downtown Sonora at 2 South Green Street on the fourth floor of the County Administration office building.

Darin Grossi, Deputy of the Transportation for Tuolumne County Public Works, says they invite passengers and prospective passengers to come and talk to the council directly about what needs they have for transportation, both inside and outside of the county, that are not currently being met.

Officials say once those comments are heard, the council will determine if those needs can be met by establishing new specialized transportation services or by expanding existing transit services. All interested persons are invited to attend and participate.
