Explosives Discovered At Sheep Ranch Home
Sheep Ranch, CA — One man is in jail after Calaveras County Sheriff´s deputies found drugs and an explosive device at his Sheep Ranch home.
Deputies responded to a call of a verbal family disturbance at a home on Sheep Ranch Road at 2 p.m. Friday.
Methamphetamines were found and 51-year old Alexander Mackillop was arrested.
Further investigation revealed hazardous materials and an explosive device that was stored in an outbuilding.
The device was deemed unsafe so the county´s hazardous materials team destroyed it in a nearby field.
Mackillop was booked into Calaveras County jail on charges of possessing a controlled substance for sale, child endangerment and possession of a destructive device.
