Lodi Man Faces Charges After Being Arrested In Sonora

Sonora, CA– A Lodi man faces several charges after operating a vehicle with a registration that had expired in January 2001.

Thursday, 51-year-old Johnny Barlow was stopped on Greenly Road and Sylva Lane in Sonora, by an officer from the Sonora Police Department for the expired registration. While speaking with him, the officer discovered Barlow´s driver´s license had expired in May 2003.

Officials say that after searching Barlow, the officer found two cellophane bindles containing suspected methamphetamine and a used smoking pipe. Another pipe was found in the vehicle.

Barlow was arrested, transported to the Tuolumne County Jail, and booked for being an unlicensed driver, and being in possession of a controlled substance and narcotic paraphernalia.
