It happened at around 11:20 on Wednesday evening. The PD reports that 46-year-old Gregory Vincent Backus was uncooperative after being stopped and had a concealed fixed-blade knife in his possession. The officer’s K9, Ridge, did a narcotic sniff of the vehicle and helped uncover 2.57 ounces of methamphetamine.

Backus was booked into Tuolumne County Jail on charges such as possession of a controlled substance for sale, transporting a controlled substance, driving on a suspended license, and having a concealed dirk or dagger.
