Calaveras Planner Retires

San Andreas, CA — John Andersen, a senior planner with the Calaveras County Planning Department, is retiring.
Andersen lives in Sonora with his wife Diane. The couple have two grown children.
He says it´s just that time for him, time to retire. But it´s not really much of a retirement.
Andersen has a land surveying business in Sonora, which he will continue to run. And he may even stay on at Calaveras as a consultant. He was also recently appointed to the Sonora Planning Commission.
His last day with the county is November 11, after which he will take a little break and travel to Phoenix for Thanksgiving.
