Sonora, CA — If you live along the Hwy 108 corridor, prepare yourselves for some smoke for the next couple of days.
The Mi-Wok Ranger District will be conducting a 300 acre prescribed burn four miles south of Long Barn within the Tuolumne River watershed near Faust Cabin and Marble Mountain. Fire suppression personnel will be on site during the active burning stage to monitor conditions, manage the controlled burn and ensure that resource benefit objectives are met. The burn will be secured and patrolled at the conclusion of each day.
The length of the burn will depend on weather conditions, fuel moisture and air quality days.
