Sonora, CA — Welcome to jail, partner in crime!
Those were the words heard by Mother Lode jailbirds Thursday. Community members were jailed at Applebee´s only to be released upon bail being paid to Sonora Mayor Hank Russell.
Clarke Broadcasting Account Executive Ron Hamilton was a perfect example. He found his name on the “Most Wanted” list and was subsequently jailed. Fortunately for Hamilton, his friends came through with flying colors and open checkbooks and Hamilton was a free man with all funds raised going to the Muscular Dystrophy camp fund.
Pat Rhoden, Modesto District Director of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, says over $30,000 will be raised from today´s event alone.
