Sponsored by:

Yosemite National Park, CA — The South Fork Bridge officially opened Tuesday afternoon.

In a 1pm ceremony, a ribbon cutting ceremony took place at the new South Fork Bridge in Wawona.

The new bridge, three years in planning, will allow for multiple uses and pedestrian access while maintaining traffic flow through the Wawona area.

On hand for the Tuesday ceremony were Yosemite Superintendent Mike Tollefson, District Five Mariposa County Supervisor Bob Pickard and officials from the Federal Highway Administration.
