Stockton, CA — Assemblyman Dave Cogdill met yesterday with President Bush to talk about the 2006 fire season.
The meeting was convened with US Forest Service officials on board Air Force One.
Cogdill´s office says the assemblyman was invited to the meeting for his leadership and for his Natural Resources Summit, which took place in Sonora last month.
After the meeting, President Bush held a press conference detailing the need for increased forest management in order to prevent and control catastrophic fires.
Cogdill´s district covers Calaveras and Tuolumne counties.
