7 Arrested In Copperopolis

Copperopolis, CA — Seven people have been arrested after search warrants were served on two homes in Copperopolis.
The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department served the warrants relating to narcotic activity last Thursday at 1187 Sawmill Road and 280 Copper Crest Drive.
Arrested were Paula Edwards, George Krajnovich, Mary Scholtka, Dana Hopkins, Ceri McLaughlin, Patrick Downer, and Patrick Smith all of Copperopolis.
The group was taken into custody with charges ranging from possession of methamphetamine and outstanding warrants.
19-year-old Dana Hopkins was not taken into custody. Hopkins, the youngest of the bunch, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and was cited and released.
