Sonora, CA — According to Stanislaus National Forest Assisstant Dispatch Center Manager Bill Barrios, “things are starting to actually look pretty good.”
Barrios was commenting on the vegetation fire that broke out within the hour off Smith Station Rd. near Blackstone Creek in the general Coulterville area.
At this hour, there have been no injuries reported and no structures damaged. According to reports approximately 25-35 acres have been burned.
No cause of the fire has been determined.
