Yosemite National Park Officials Host Naturalization Ceremony

Sponsored by:

Yosemite, CA– Thanks to a developed partnership between the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services and the National Park Service, 40 people from various parts of the world are to become naturalized U.S Citizens Friday.

A special Naturalization Ceremony will take place at Glacier Point Amphitheatre in

Yosemite National Park. Park Official Adrienne Freeman says the ceremony is very symbolic of showing how national parks belong to every citizen in the United States.

She says it is great for these new U.S. citizens to start their time here in the public lands. The ceremony is open for the public to attend and will begin at 11am.

The event will include one-on-one interviews with officials and the newly naturalized citizens followed by the Yosemite Mounted Patrol conducting a flag ceremony, and the serving of an all American meal.
