Sonora, CA — Saturday morning, just after midnight, C.H.P. officers responded to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy 108 and S. Washington St.
Accirding to C.H.P. reports 43 year old Kenneth Palkki of Jamestown was headed westbound on Hwy 108 when he failed to stop at the red light. 25 year old Jay Tylar Cloyd, driving a 1996 Dodge Neon, was attempting to make a left turn from southbound S. Washington St. to eastbound Hwy 108. The front of Palkki´s vehicle collided with the driver´s side of Cloyd´s vehicle.
Palkki was driving with his two children, 8 year old Gabriel and 10 year old Lora. None of the Palkkis were seriously injured. Cloyd suffered lacerations to his head and face and complaint of pain. All were treated at Sonora Regional Medical Center.
