San Andreas Sewer Fees Rise

Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA — Any new construction wanting to hook into the San Andreas sewer will have to pay $25,000.

That was a temporary move by the San Andreas Sanitary District board today as it waits to ratify its master plan next month. The master plan is expected to contain a more accurate fee based on future growth in the area.

In the meantime, developers hard up to start their projects can ask to pay the $25,000 fee and get back or pay the difference on the new fee once the master plan is passed.

The former hook up fee was $4,500.

Kenneth Woznak was one of those developers looking to begin his project immediately, which is what prompted the board to enact the temporary fee.

Woznak wants to build two warehouses on Industrial Way in San Andreas. He will pay $25,000 per equivalent dwelling unit, of which his project has four.
