A Smile From Dr. Jack McCue
Sonora, CA — Now that he is officially the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Medical Officer at Tuolumne General Hospital, Dr. Jack McCue is looking forward to the future of T.G.H. … and with a smile.
While a final decision or decisions on the fate of the hospital and services offered rests in the hands of the Board of Supervisors, McCue remains optimistic that T.G.H. can remain an integral part of the Tuolumne County healthcare community.
Any final decisions will certainly rest heavily on the recommendations of the Camden Group regarding potential changes in the hospital´s structure. Those recommendations could be forthcoming by the end of the year.
McCue praises the efforts of Dallas, TX based PHNS for drastically increasing the collections of revenues due the hospital. While there were initial reports that T.G.H. would show an operating loss of between eight and nine million dollars for the past fiscal year, Tuesday´s final report from Board of Trustees member Ken Compton, before the Board of Supervisors, indicated the correct figure was $4.479 million.
