Forest Officials Warn Campers Of Fire Danger
Sponsored by:
Stanislaus, CA– Stanislaus National Forest fire officials are alerting visitors that because Forest conditions are very dry, visitors must use extreme caution to prevent accidental fires from starting.
They are encouraging campers to take extra care when building, maintaining and extinguishing campfires where they are permitted. Currently campfires are only allowed in low and moderate hazard areas of the forest.
Officials say those who plan on camping in those areas, must have a campfire permit, a shovel, and a responsible person watching over the fire at all times.
