Widening Project Completed On New Priest Grade

Stockton, CA — Caltrans has completed the emergency widening of Hwy 120 along New Priest Grade.
Several locations were widened to allow access for longer length vehicles including 45 foot long buses. Effective today 45 foot long vehicles will be permitted access on Hwy 120 into Yosemite National Park.
This emergency widening was needed because of the limitations placed on Hwy 140 due to the April rockslide. While Hwy 140 is open, the temporary detour will not accomodate 45 foot long vehicles.
