Mother Lode Area Will Benefit From CHP Air Operations Unit In Auburn
Sacramento, CA– The unit is now in place and residents of the Mother Lode will benefit from its presence.
An official ribbon cutting ceremony took place Friday in Auburn, where Northern California Senator Sam Aanestad officially welcomed the return of the California highway patrol´s air operation unit in Auburn after moving to Sacramento three years ago.
Senator Aanestad fought for nearly three years to return the two search-and-rescue helicopters and two fixed wing aircraft back to Auburn.
Officials say having the CHP air operations unit in place will greatly benefit both Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties.
