Yosemite Fires Still Burning Strong
Yosemite National Park, CA — Firefighters in Yosemite National Park certainly have their hands full battling two large fires.
262 firefighters are still committed to the 536 acre Boundary Fire, which was started by an escaped campfire Monday. That blaze is now 60% contained and officials hope to have full control by Monday.
Park Spokesperson, Adrienne Freeman says fire crews are also trying to get the 540 acre Middle T Fire under control, due to the amount of smoke it has been producing.
Freeman says that fire has been burning since July 20th for ecological purposes and is only 6% contained.
