San Andreas, CA — For the 233 people who sought help through Calaveras County´s Substance Abuse Program last year, September is hopefully a month of celebration.
September is Recovery Happens Month in Calaveras County and across the state. The Board of Supervisors proclaimed the month locally on Monday.
The month is marked by a rally at the state Capitol and an open house of local recovery programs.
On August 31 the county´s Behavioral Health staff and recovering county residents will join others across the state at the Capitol to celebrate one more day of being clean and sober.
And on September 14, the Calaveras County´s Substance Abuse Program will host an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The goal is for people to see what resources are available.
