Neighborhood Dispute Lands Columbia Man In Jail
Columbia, CA — A Columbia man is facing charges following an assault on a deputy Thursday.
The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department says deputies received a call of a neighborhood dispute involving a vehicle abandoned on 50-year-old Richard Wynne´s property.
Reports indicate the man was extremely agitated and angry. When Deputy J. Gragg tried to check him for weapons he physically resisted.
Wynne grabbed at Gragg´s wrist and tore his uniform shirt pocket. Gragg was able to handcuff Wynne but once handcuffed, Wynne continued to yell profanities at Gragg and tried to trip him as they walked.
Wynne remained uncooperative all the way to jail. Once at the jail, Wynne was booked for battery on a peace officer and resisting arrest.
