Tuolumne County Budget Finalized

Sonora, CA — Despite major cuts to the Tuolumne County 2006/2007 fiscal year budget, some money was added back to support essential services before finalization Tuesday afternoon.
The Supervisors managed to add a probation officer position and extend hours at the county´s youth centers, while still balancing the more than $122 million budget.
The Board also authorized the county to enter into an agreement with the Camden Group for provision of an Interim Chief Executive Officer, and an Interim Chief Financial Officer.
The Camden Group would also supply planning and implementation services that would be related to transitioning Tuolumne General Hospital into a non-acute health care system.
