Chevy, Ford Involved In Valley Springs Collision

Valley Springs, CA — A head on crash in Valley Springs resulted in minor injuries Friday.

The California Highway Patrol says 17-year-old Christopher Massaglia of Valley Springs was driving a 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe on Highway 12 near Lime Creek Road at around 5 p.m.

Massaglia was attempting to turn left into Zippy Mart as Raymond Willis, of Murphys, was approaching in the opposite direction driving a 2005 Ford Ranger.

Willis saw Massaglia heading in his direction and steered right to avoid the collision. Massaglia tried to beat Willis by making the left turn and the two collided head on.

Massaglia and his passenger complained of pain but opted to seek their own medical attention.
