Water Conservation Measure Still In Effect

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Although the Mother Lode got a more than healthy drenching in winter and spring, residents are still being asked to conserve water until August 11th.

President of The Board of Directors for Tuolumne Utilities District, Jim Costello, says even though there is a good snow pack, residents need to conserve water- the kind that has to be treated for home use and consumption.

After the 11th, Costello says the treatment tanks will be able to handle the water use much better. Officials say cooperation of the District´s customers will go a long way in helping to recover from the recent heat wave.
