Lake Tulloch, CA — The public hearing for a 20-townhome development on Lake Tulloch has been postponed 30 days.
The Calaveras County Planning Commission was set to hear the Marina Villa Townhomes project Thursday.
County planners are recommending that officials deny the proposal.
Merle and Beverly Homan of Oakdale are the owners of the 10-acre proposed development on O´Byrnes Ferry Road.
A little over 1 acre of the project is actually on dry land. The bulk of the structure would be built on submerged piers in the lake. Each unit would include a two-car garage, a private boat dock and deck.
Planners say the proposal is inconsistent with the General Plan.
