Tamarack Man Involved In Alpine County Shooting

Bear Valley, CA — John Cole of Tamarack is facing attempted murder charges after a shooting at his estranged girlfriend´s house Tuesday morning.
At around 8 a.m. Alpine County Sheriff´s Deputies responded to a call of shots fired at an apartment on 141 Lombardi Street in Bear Valley.
Upon arrival they found Cole and his estranged girlfriend, whose name is being withheld. The two suffered from multiple gunshot wounds and were flown to different area hospitals.
A press release from the Alpine County Sheriff´s Department says Cole was arrested for attempted murder with further charges likely in the coming days.
